Position Overview:
Responsible to the CC150 Polaris Fleet Manager for the conduct of engineering support of CC150 maintenance program, including identification of performance objectives, the monitoring of performance, maintenance and reliability requirements, recommending improvements as necessary to optimize life-cycle costs.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Coordinate/support the activities of the Section in respect to the CC150 maintenance program in respect to maintenance program monitoring, maintenance rationalization, maintenance requirements and reliability program analysis; Coordinate/conduct activities associated with reviewing, implementing and monitoring corrective action in regard to service difficulty reporting, special inspections, service bulletins and airworthiness directives; Update the master maintenance program database, advise the maintenance planners of the changes and coordinate the release of the updated maintenance program with the Fleet Manager; Development and execution of the CC150 reliability monitoring program in accordance with Transport Canada Airworthiness Manual Advisory (AMA) 571.101/1 – Reliability Monitoring Programs; Provide management of engineering special projects as assigned by coordinating the activities of the department with the other Engineering Departments, other branches of the company and/or R&O Subcontractors, to ensure their completion on time and within budget; Coordinate the delivery of technical advice to the MOB; Conduct effective communications and liaison on technical matters with representatives from the MOBDNDOEMs, DSN elements, and Design Authorities; Prepare engineering reports and technical memorandums, including the CC150 Monthly Reliability Report; Chair Reliability Meetings on a quarterly basis, or when needed and take and provide the minutes of the Reliability Meeting; Provide support to the configuration management and data management activities of the Section; Perform airworthiness functions as an Authorized Person when so designated; Represent the Engineering Section at meetings as required; and Other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eligibility for membership in APENS or SCETTNS is preferred; Six or more years’ experience in an aircraft engineering and maintenance environment, with four years directly related experience; Sound knowledge of aircraft engineering , operations and fleet maintenance practices; Knowledge of Military and Civil Airworthiness Regulations is desirable; Good writing and oral communication skills; Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment; Will be subject to the DND Code of Service Discipline when accompanying any DND unit or other element of the Canadian Forces that is on service or active service in any place; and Must be a Canadian Citizen and eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program, U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Canadian government security clearances, and to meet requirements for issue of a Green Canadian Passport.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with occasional hangar/shop floor visits: some travel.
